Leading With Vision
Bob Parsons founded Flood Defense Systems Ltd. in the Summer of 2019 after the catastrophic flooding near his home town of Ottawa, during which he spent several days helping to build sandbag defences in local communities.
He spent 25 years in the British Army, serving around the world and leading many humanitarian and disaster relief operations
After leaving the Army, Bob joined Lockheed Martin UK and won several large government contract before being seconded to the company’s Canadian operations where he stayed to lead business development for a major business unit. In 2006 he joined OSI Geospatial, a leading geointelligence company, where he led the Land Systems business development through several commercialization and mergers and acquisitions activities.
In 2010 Bob moved to HDT Global and directed business development in Canada, Central/South America, the UK and the EU. He also took over as the Managing Director of all HDT’s Canadian operations
Bob holds a Bachelors degree in Engineering and a MBA from Portsmouth University. He's a rugby enthusiast, an gourmet cook and spends a great deal of spare time chasing golf balls around the most inaccessible areas of golf courses in the nation's capital.
